Thriving Multicultural Communities (TMC) is honoured to spearhead the Multicultural Support Initiative; a pivotal program for the next few years. It has been designed to enhance the social and economic inclusion of the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) community across the Northern Gold Coast.
Community Action for a Multicultural Society Coordinator
We are excited to share the incredible benefits of our Seniors Program. Designed to foster socialization and capacity building, our program offers a vibrant and supportive environment for seniors from diverse backgrounds.
Socialization is crucial for seniors. It keeps the mind sharp, reduces loneliness, and enhances overall well-being. Our seniors program creates opportunities for meaningful interactions and lasting friendships. Social events and activities bring joy and a sense of belonging.
In today’s digital age, staying connected is more important than ever. Our digital upskilling workshops help seniors navigate technology with confidence. From using smartphones to accessing online services, these sessions empower seniors to stay in touch with loved ones and engage with the world.
Our socialization events are the heart of our program. We host regular gatherings where seniors can come together, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company. These events include cultural celebrations, game nights, and creative workshops. Each event is an opportunity to learn something new and build strong bonds.
Every two weeks, our seniors embark on exciting field trips. These outings are more than just a break from routine; they are adventures that spark curiosity and joy. Whether it’s visiting a museum, exploring a park, or enjoying a local performance, these trips offer new experiences and shared memories.
