Settlement Services (SETS)

At TMC - Thriving Multicultural Communities, our Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) program, funded by the Department of Home Affairs, is instrumental in enhancing the lifelong wellbeing of migrants and refugees settling in Australia. This program supports individuals from humanitarian and eligible permanent migration backgrounds by helping them build independence and capacity while improving social participation, personal and economic wellbeing, and community connectedness. Through the SETS program, we empower our clients to access vital services and support, boosting their confidence and enabling them to thrive in their new environment.

We deliver a wide range of settlement services that empower our clients to achieve their aspirations and succeed. Our approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and shaped by the voices of our clients and the broader community. By collaborating with businesses, government agencies, community groups, and other service providers, we strive to create a network of welcoming and inclusive organisations across Queensland, ensuring that all newcomers feel inspired to contribute and grow.

TMC also offers various services designed to foster meaningful connections and a sense of belonging. Our programs cater to community leaders, young people, adults, and families, helping clients engage with different communities and interest groups. This approach builds social capital, enhances knowledge, and promotes independence, ensuring that every individual feels supported and valued in Queensland.
